ISO Whois that finds ALL IP addresses

Can anyone suggest a WHOIS online that

* Has all of the databases

* Does not require a captcha

* Does not crap out after ten inquiries

I've been using SamSpade for years because it always finds the owners, IP, etc.,

however due to robots, it now cuts off at 10 inquiries per day.

Then I used Geektools, which is really nice, but it requires a captcha, which

seriously slows tracking.

InterNIC almost always misses. They say "Not Found" but then SamSpade finds

it immediately.

I just use a couple of command-line utilities -

http://search.brothersoft.com/find-url-find-ip/5/ is one source, they're win32whois (renamed to plain ol' whois) and whosip. But command-line is not to everyone's liking. Use the -r flag for both of them if you give them a try. Like:

I believe you have a Mac, so open a Terminal window and type "whois -h whois.geektools.com foo" where "foo" is what you are trying to look up. I don't think that Geektools' whois server is subject to the same usage limits (or CAPTCHA requirements) as their website. Probably this will be quicker than a web lookup as well. You can cut and paste from the Terminal screen, or you can pipe the info to a file or another command (e.g., 'whois -h whois.geektools.foo | grep "Registrant:"')

If you hate having to type the WHOIS host all the time, you can set an alias in the shell: "alias gwhois='whois -h whois.geektools.com'", then next time you need to make a lookup type "gwhois foo."

I used to use Complete Whois, which was very good, but it is now Tango Uniform.

My employer just closed outbound port 43 for us, so I am out of the WHOIS business at work (except if I use my iPhone!).
