[Resolved] SpamCop is Down

Recommended Posts

I'm sorry to report that SpamCop is down. I can't get in, either. The duty engineer has been paged, but that's all I have for you. I don't know what's wrong or how long it will take to fix.

As always, when you experience a failure with SpamCop, the immediate action drill is to shut down your browser and go lie on the couch. :-)

...Thanks, Don. It does seem to have been fixed (based on the graphic at the top of the screen, "Reporting Server Status," it appears that it returned to service at about 6:30 AM EST).

At this time, I'm unable to access the reporting features... I'm unable to log in to the mailsc.spamcop.net ( http://mailsc.spamcop.net/reportheld?action=heldlog )

pages... although I do have access to my mailbox via IMAP.

(So the standard question: is it just me :-)

I have a similar issue with the url you mention. Try logging in via the alternative: http://www.spamcop.net/mcgi?action=loginform and follow the 'tab' for held mail - http://www.spamcop.net/reportheld?action=heldlog.

That does seem to be working.

Thanks! I tried again a couple of hours later; there may have been a browser issue, all good now.

Hmm, I reported some spam this morning at 10-ish central time and still no response via email notices or on my spamcop page. The "Report Now" link has yet to show up. 12:35 PM here.

My last 2 email, "forward as attachments", from OE took 4h 13m and 4h 31m respectively.

Slow for days, getting slower. Last took 7 hours (received 4 hours ago). Pasting in (seems to be performing normally) and cancelling the emailed submissions when they finally break through.

FYI, I just replied this to another thread:

I always keep track....for instance if I submit ten I make sure I report ten.  I had 0 spams reported last night when I logged off.  Got up this morning and submitted approximately 10 spams.  Since the system was so slow I decided to click "remove all unreported spam" and it said removed 127 unreported spams.  That just shocked me as I had 0 spams unreported last night and hadn't submitted any as well.  I was just wondering if anyone else ever encountered this.  It isn't too important.  But thanks for your help everyone.

Removed 276 unreported messages

...after I had reported 50 or so already, having had submitted only about 20 before the problems started to occur. Thank god I got suspicious of recurring spams and searched the forums, or I would have gone on sending off duplicate reports until my fingers fell off.

There seems to be something seriously, seriously fu**ed up with the reporting system!

...Yep, I had this problem, too, a good part of the day. But it now seems to be working reasonably well!
