DNS update 3

Recommended Posts

Still some DNS issues with mail (maybe a promulgation thing) but yes, probe can get through. My emphasis:

Resolving host name "mx.spamcop.net"...

Connecting to host address "64.88.168.82"...

Failed.

Resolving host name "mx2.spamcop.net"...

Connecting to host address "64.88.168.70"...

Connected.

S 220 mx70.cesmail.net ESMTP

C HELO ipaddresslocation.org

S 250 mx70.cesmail.net

C MAIL FROM: <info[at]ipaddresslocation.org>

S 250 ok

C RCPT TO: <support[at]spamcop.net>

S 250 ok

C DATA

S 354 go ahead

This host states that the address is valid.

Disconnected.

support[at]spamcop.net is

a valid deliverable e-mail box address.

I have just verified Farelf's demonstration of problems with Spamcop.net's primary mx server. I do NOT think this is a DNS issue, unless 64.88.168.74 is not the correct IP. Connections to "mx.spamcop.net" are apparently ALL timing out, because it's not awake and answering them, while connections to "mx2.spamcop.net" are working. This is NOT good, folks.
