How to revoke a report?

Ok, I've committed the worst sin possible, I've wrongly reported a mail as spam (sorry, was tired and distracted), and now I'm frantically looking around on spam cop for a way to undo my error, but I can't find any.

Can someone please show me in the right direction?!

Thanks a million!

SpamCop reports are sent via SMTP email, and SMTP has no feature

to "unsend" email messages.

You should manually send a retraction and a apology to those to

whom you reported the spam. Any originating ISPs will be able

to use your recantation as evidence with SpamCop if your report

landed them onto the SpamCop Blocking List.

To find those to whom you sent the erroneous report, use the link

"Past Reports" (at least if you are a paying SpamCop member).

This would make an excellent FAQ topic, as I see it quite often!

Many thanks to you all for your help in solving this matter!

Yesterday I immediately sent a mail explaining my error to the webmaster of the domain I've reported, apologizing. And this morning, thanks to your suggestion, I sent additional mail(s) to the abuse dpt of the ISP.

And right now I received a mail from the ISP that they will ignore the abuse report. No blame on their customer, just a human error which got caught in time.

I've also fwd:ed and cc:ed all this to the webmaster of the origial domain.

It's good to be able to stand up and try and solve whatever problems you've caused.

Once again - thanks! (And it's good that this information is now included in the FAQ, even though I hope that I won't _ever_ have to use it again).

Is a retraction necessary for a "mole" report? If I understand correctly, nothing is actually sent to the person reported or their ISP.

That would be the need for a note to the Deputies ... as the mole report does count as a bad mark against the serving IP/ISP. So if the IP/ISP gets tagged and added to the BL, and the only reason is based on the inclusion of your bad report, your note would help to clear things up before the battle of words start.
