showker Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Since the SpamCop is working very well for me... about 2 to 5 spams slip through out of about 800 daily, I'd like to roll in a second address. Instead of subscribing to a second SpamCop email account it would be better for me to retrieve all the mail from TWO DIFFERENT ADDRESSES through the same interface. Can this be done? (Don't mind an extra charge) How do you do it? My "User Group" address, showker[at]user-groups.net is getting nearly as much spam as my graphic-design.com address. Thanks Fred
Jeff G. Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Yes, absolutely. Just browse on over to your account's POP Configuration using the secure or insecure method and add another Server.
petzl Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 you can also just use a "+" after your login name in my case petzl[at]spamcop.net works just as well as petzl+hotcopper[at]spamcop.net instead of hotcopper you can use whatever you choose
showker Posted November 16, 2004 Author Posted November 16, 2004 EXCELLENT... Thanks for the FIRST actual working answer I've received in these forums... Have now gladly doubled spam reporting from another POP I had given up on. Bravo Fred
turetzsr Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 <snip> Thanks for the FIRST actual working answer I've received in these forums... <snip> 20186[/snapback] ...Can't figure out why you say that. The only other posts of yours I can find are: Your last post in thread "pop.spamcop.net DOES NOT WORK" And there are three replies to which you have not yourself replied, so "we" don't know whether or not any were "actual working answer," so "we" have to assume one of them resolved your problem. If that's not the case, please post a follow-up. Your last post in thread "Code Included In spam Messages" And there are two replies asking for more information from you, to which you have not replied. ...Please don't accuse "us" of not providing working answers when you haven't done your part to follow up. <g>

I gave up. Figured out I'll just have to resolve myself to retrieving the mail manually. Now I have another problem, we'll see how that goes.
