Merlyn
134.86.0.0/16 is a Hijacked/Zombie Network See: http://www.spamhaus.org/sbl/sbl.lasso?query=SBL24358 Also: http://www.completewhois.com/hijacked/hijacked_flist.txt More about Zombies here: http://www.spamhaus.org/rokso/evidence.las...okso_id=ROK2493 No reason to try and call anyone, you will only be contacting the theives/spammers that took control of the network. Jeff G.
A number of websites (see below) agree that Silicon Compiler Systems Corporation was acquired by Mentor Graphics Corporation, probably the current mentor.com. siliconcompilersystems.com is probably not the same people. OTOH, IP traffic for 134.86.254.10 is currently routed (apparently in a rogue fashion by hijackers) via 200-170-197-54.core01.spo.ifx.net.br [200.170.197.54]. I suggest you contact the following per abuse.net and SpamCop's Parser: postmaster<at>arin.net abuse<at>arin.net postmaster<at>mentor.com abuse<at>mentor.com abuse<at>ifx.com.br sysop<at>ifx.com.br mail-abuse<at>nic.br antispambr<at>abuse.net (or spambr<at>admin.spamcop.net if reporting via SpamCop) References: http://www.mathstar.com/Directors.htm http://www.odesk.com/management.php http://www.battery.com/default.asp?section...e=semiconductor http://embedded.centurysoftware.com/company/management.php http://www.eedesign.com/editorial/1995/editorial9507.html http://www.via.com.tw/en/company/executives.jsp http://www.corporate-ir.net/ireye/ir_site....&item_id=122514 (I could go on, but what's the point?) StevenUnderwood
http://www.corporate-ir.net/ireye/ir_site....;item_id=122514 www.corporate-ir.net is www.ccbn.com (Thompson Financials Corporate PR arm)'s site for hosting their customers information. I only know this because they host our PR content. Are you indicating that MoSys are spammers, or just that Tommy Eng (from their BOD) is involved? Jeff G.
I was just using that reference, specifically "Mr. Eng was General Manager of Mentor Graphics’ Advanced IC Design Automation and Design Consultation division as the result of the acquisition of Silicon Compiler Systems." as one more justification for my statement that "Silicon Compiler Systems Corporation was acquired by Mentor Graphics Corporation". I did not mean to imply that Mr. Eng was responsible for Mentor's failure to protect the rather considerable 134.86.0.0/16 IP Address Range it acquired with Silicon Compiler Systems - obviously, that was the responsibility of Kevin Miller and any successors in what appears to have been the mid-1990's. shmengie
Thanks for the info guys. Meryln led me to the path of understanding. The NetRange: 134.86.0.0 - 134.86.255.255 appears to be hijacked by a group of known spammers. According to traceroute, they're operating in Brazil, which appears to the latest safe-harbor for spammers. Silicon Complier systems must have owned this net range once in the past, and it hasn't be dished out to another organization, which appears how it got hijacked, and why I as asking about 'em. We definatly need to get Brazil on board with the rest of the world...
