qjvgpuryy Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 This also happened the other day for a few hours - we can get anywhere on the internet except to https:// sites. Is anyone else seeing this?
Telarin Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Hmm, I would start out with making sure that your antivirus is running and up-to-date. Then I would run a complete virus scan, followed by a full scan with ad-aware. I've seen this problem before, and in my experience it has always been caused by a virus or rogue piece of poorly written ad-ware.
Jeff G. Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Using the KISS methodology, you could also restart your web browser code or your computer, and try those same websites from other computers or using other Internet connections.

qjvgpuryy Posted December 23, 2005 Author Posted December 23, 2005 Got all the way up to rebooting the network server, and that fixed the problem for about two and a half hours, but now it seems to be back. Anything else I should look at?
dra007 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I have seen that with my Comcast server, usually it stops and runs smoothly if I shut down and re-boot to refresh th IP....so there may be something that is more widespread...
qjvgpuryy Posted December 23, 2005 Author Posted December 23, 2005 Now it's working again, without any action on my part - isn't technology wonderful! Thank you everyone.
