Ex_Brit
My held mail folder keeps filling up with these items that when previewed have no content and therefore can't be reported.. most result in "no reports filed" all but a few cases anyway, so I keep having to delete them. The odd one has filtered through into my junk mail and from their properties they appear to be coming from China or Hungary. The strange thing is they appear to involve my ISP (Rogers) and my browser (Rogers Yahoo) and that's the only clue. Any ideas?
Wazoo
As the starting post, the huge image included also ended up blowing away the formatting of the Portal page. link moved to this post to solve that problem, but not sure what the actual intent was .... as compared to posting one of the e-mail (headers) in question .. and apparently because of the size, the transfer rate is really slow ..... now that some headers and a Tracking URL have been provided, the image link has been deleted. Ex_Brit
Sorry, I wasn't aware that the portal had problems dealing with screen shots, I did reduce the size, sorry if it wasn't enough. How do I get headers from something in my SC reporting page held mail folder? Forget that..I got them from here.... I went to my Spamcop Webmail Trash and here are two of theem: Example 1: Authentication-Results: mta110.rog.mail.scd.yahoo.com domainkeys=fail (bad syntax) Cc: "recipient list not shown"[at], Date: 6 Jul 2006 19:42:08 -0000 [15:42:08 EDT] Delivered-To: cesmail-net-(munged[at])cesmail.net From: root[at]mta110.rog.mail.scd.yahoo.com Message-ID: <20060706194208.34619.qmail[at]mta110.rog.mail.scd.yahoo.com> Received: (qmail 25838 invoked from network); 6 Jul 2006 19:42:10 -0000 from unknown (192.168.1.101) by blade2.cesmail.net with QMQP; 6 Jul 2006 19:42:10 -0000 from mta110.rog.mail.scd.yahoo.com (66.94.225.170) by mailgate.cesmail.net with SMTP; 6 Jul 2006 19:42:10 -0000 from 84.3.25.207 (HELO harborside.com) (84.3.25.207) by mta110.rog.mail.scd.yahoo.com with SMTP; Thu, 06 Jul 2006 12:42:08 -0700 Return-Path: <waldronygracilia[at]harborside.com> X-Originating-IP: [84.3.25.207] X-Rocket-spam: 84.3.25.207 X-spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.1.1 (2006-03-10) on blade2.cesmail.net X-spam-Level: **** X-spam-Status: hits=4.5 tests=EMPTY_MESSAGE,FORGED_YAHOO_RCVD,MISSING_HEADERS, MISSING_SUBJECT,NO_REAL_NAME version=3.1.1 X-SpamCop-Checked: X-SpamCop-Disposition: Blocked SpamAssassin=4 X-Yahoo-Forwarded: from (munged[at])rogers.com to (munged[at])cesmail.net X-YahooFilteredBulk: 84.3.25.207 Example 2: Authentication-Results: mta108.rog.mail.scd.yahoo.com domainkeys=fail (bad syntax) Cc: "recipient list not shown"[at], Date: 6 Jul 2006 19:41:26 -0000 [15:41:26 EDT] Delivered-To: cesmail-net-(munged[at])cesmail.net From: root[at]mta108.rog.mail.scd.yahoo.com Message-ID: <20060706194126.14024.qmail[at]mta108.rog.mail.scd.yahoo.com> Received: (qmail 28569 invoked from network); 6 Jul 2006 19:41:28 -0000 from unknown (192.168.1.103) by blade6.cesmail.net with QMQP; 6 Jul 2006 19:41:29 -0000 from mta108.rog.mail.scd.yahoo.com (66.94.225.168) by mx53.cesmail.net with SMTP; 6 Jul 2006 19:41:28 -0000 from 84.3.25.207 (HELO harborside.com) (84.3.25.207) by mta108.rog.mail.scd.yahoo.com with SMTP; Thu, 06 Jul 2006 12:41:26 -0700 Return-Path: <waldronygracilia[at]harborside.com> X-Originating-IP: [84.3.25.207] X-Rocket-spam: 84.3.25.207 X-spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.1.1 (2006-03-10) on blade6 X-spam-Level: **** X-spam-Status: hits=4.5 tests=EMPTY_MESSAGE,FORGED_YAHOO_RCVD,MISSING_HEADERS, MISSING_SUBJECT,NO_REAL_NAME version=3.1.1 X-SpamCop-Checked: X-SpamCop-Disposition: Blocked SpamAssassin=4 X-Yahoo-Forwarded: from (munged[at])rogers.com to (munged[at])cesmail.net X-YahooFilteredBulk: 84.3.25.207 Headers: Show Limited Headers

How do I get headers from something in my SC reporting page held mail folder? Forget that..I got them from here.... I went to my Spamcop Webmail Trash and here are two of theem: Please note that you can use the "Message Source" link within any message to get the full, unadulterated headers. The headers you posted should have a "Received: " in front of each "from ". Can you take the entire message source and paste it into the spamcop reporter, leave a blank line after the headers, and add <no body found> as the body of the message and post the resultiong TrackingURL here? Likely won't turn up anything new, as this may be caused by a virus or broken spam software, etc.

Wazoo
If it was me, I'd be all over Yahoo, asking them why their system would 'forward' this crap ... Message-ID: <2006__________________mail[at]mta100.rog.mail.re2.yahoo.com> From: root[at]mta100.rog.mail.re2.yahoo.com Cc: recipient list not shown: ; X-Yahoo-Forwarded: from x to (munged for here)[at]cesmail.net On the other hand, maybe you need to stop the 'forwarding' and see what's actually existing on the Yahoo server then .... there may be an answer there as to why the Yahoo servers are (apparently) adding this extra data ..... Ex_Brit
Maybe you're right. It seems to go in spurts. Most days nothing then a whole bunch at once...I suspect Rogers, my ISP, has a problem. As long as I know that it isn't a SC problem, then I'll take it from here.
