dealing with a spammer forum

I found this spammer forum through Wired magazine. I'm kinda new to the world of spam reporting.....I dont exactly know what to do. I shadowed the place for a couple of days and found the big spammers. Dont worry my account there is under a different name.

I did the whois.net lookup and ytcracker [bryce e case according to spamhaus] seems to own it, confirming what Wired said.

Can I report it to the server ISP? How would I do that? Whats the best way to find them?

I'm going to start trying to see if people will buy mailing lists and spamware to confirm even more people. Can someone help with with the spammer lingo so they think I'm one of them. There is a private spammer chat section Im trying to become part of so I can leak it to spamhaus.

Heres the guys who are causing most of the trouble from that place.

ytcracker - Runs the place and owns the domain. Infamous "nerd rapper" [lame, I know it] and porn spammer. ROKSO listed.

rmk - ytcracker's #2 in command. Porn cam spammer. ROKSO listed.

egod - Works with ytcracker and rmk in spam and music. Porn spammer.

phlows - Works with ytcracker and rmk in spam and music. Porn spammer.

bis1 - Works with ytcracker and rmk in spam and music. Porn and pill spammer.

Mix - Works with ytcracker in some capacity. Didnt mintion spam but probably does.

nofx - Self admitted porn spammer. LSD addict and unstable conspircy theorist.

timex - Self admitted porn spammer. Terminated by maximumcash porn affiliate for spam.

Gza - Sells porn, probably by spam.

g - Sells porn, probably by spam.

stang - Sells porn, probably by spam.

MX - Hacker and myspace worm writer.

camO - Lexusnexus hacker. Did the Paris Hilton phonebook thing. Just got out of jail. Probably spams cams based on name.

themaSk - Associate of camO. Probably spams.

Mysterio - Self admitted porn spammer. Terminated by maximumcash porn affiliate for spam.

Meca - Self admitted porn spammer, stock broker.

pad - Self admitted porn spammer. Soceopathic.

Ryan L - Blog spammer and content stealer. I hate these people bad.

capone - Knows way too much. Probably spams.

A2 - Knows way too much. Probably spams.

magik - Web cam promoter, probably by spam.

Shasta - Knows way too much. Probably spams.

josegarcias - Knows way too much. Probably spams.

I decided long ago that the civilized, natural, and rational way to deal with spam is to use blocklists so I don't know much about who spammers are. If one doesn't get their spew, but blocks it, who cares? They and their customers can do whatever they want to.

first of all, i'd like to thank "shadowmaninuk" for the giggles, because this thread is nothing less than hysterical.

i'd like to take this time to make it abundantly clear how incorrect these accusations are.

i've never admitted to spamming, mainly because i don't spam. as a matter of fact, i will paypal any of you $100.00 the very moment you show me one instance where i said i was a spammer.

the following people are not spammers, in fact, they are idiots:

magik - who is actually a 20 year old single parent female with very limited computer skills.

josegarcias - doesn't know squat about anything.

capone - isn't intelligent enough to halt his online poker addiction, never mind get through mail filters.

stang - stang is a legit webmaster, i've known him for quite some time and he's never mentioned spam to me.

cam0 - "probably spams cams based on name" huh? lol, his name is cameron, cam0 is derived from his name. he is also not allowed to touch a computer for a very long time. definately not a spammer.

themaSk - i met "themask" in real life, he's a gamer, definately not a spammer.

meca - hasn't spammed in over 8 years. meca is simply not a current day spammer. he works a respectable 9 to 5 job.

ryan l - biggest anti-spammer on digitalgangster.com, ryan thinks spammers are lazy.

a2 - to my knowledge a2 hasn't spammed in years.

mysterio - former spammer to my knoweldge, but not anymore.

shasta - i know shasta, i also know that he owns a respected hosting company. he doesn't spam.

We tend to like to see proof, but this is the Lounge where there is a bit more latitude allowed in what is stated.

Also, please keep it clean here? We try to run a respectable forum that many different types of people can come and get the information thayt they need. Some of those people could be offended by your use of the English language.

If you were to gather information, about the Digital Gangster forum, try to read it for atleast 2 weeks.

This is no spammer forum, sure some people were/are spammers but we never discuss methods, strategys, etc.. Your gathered information is VERY wrong. If you feel like you accomplished something here, unfortunately, you didnt.. You got the wrong idea of the whole thing, and think you are very certain to take it down. Not happening.

The threat posts have been removed, some users have already managed to get themselves banned. If the thrust of this "get folks here and post about the 'real' situation" .... it really isn't working all that well.

I broke the URL quite a while back. However, the assumption would be that the forum referenced assumedly has traffic in place inviting folks to visit here and make their thoughts known ...??? I have yet to read anything from either point of view that has got me interested enough to visit it myself.

With the rash of incoming users that have only signed up to post into this Topic, closing it suggested that yet more Topics would end up being created, once again complaining about the censorship .... I had intended to let it ride until the rush was over.

And of course, if you think this is bad, you wouldn't believe the PM traffic I'm getting. (which by the way, makes me even les interested in meeting all those "fine folks" in that other Forum) .....

and I know exactly what started this. Someone visited, read the thread regarding how people spammed 10 years ago back in 1996, and thought for some reason the people still did it today??? That was half a lifetime ago for most people on that forum.

I think there's more severe issues at hand besides just too much spam if your users cannot put a link back together in an address bar. (ex. too many ID 10 T errors that are causing spam and malware in the first place???)

If you're doing it to avoid passing referrer tags, no one cares about those over there.
