Lking
Starting in the beginning, Is this new? have you been reporting spam received by this Yahoo account before and the error is new. Have you added your Yahoo email account to you spamcop mailhost? was there a tracking URL that the rest of us could see?

IF the email address is correct? push the "Button" "Continue to step 2" You will be sent validation emails, all of which (often more than 1) you must click the validation link
Gort
When I do the" validation emails", I'm not getting the header information correct. When I do this, it fails because I'm not sending the "full headers" however it should be done using YAHOO. Please return this complete email, preserving full headers and the special tracking codes below. Visit this address: https://www.spamcop.net/mcgi?action=mhreturn When I do this, I create a new email and copy and paste the email. It can't find the headers: Or create a new message and paste this email into it. Either way, send it to to: ______________________________________________________________ Mainly, I just don't know how to get the headers from my YAHOO email. I don't know what "preserving full headers" means.

If it is Yahoo email to get raw message, do not open email , just right click email, look for "Raw message", click that? see link shows you my Yahoo email https://ibb.co/K5WD5nW Edited August 25, 2023 by petzl
RobiBue
in my Firefox browser Y! goes like this: from top down: inside the message the three dots, then View raw message, a new tab opens with the raw information (headers and other good stuff) HTH
Gort
I’m now redoing my MAILHOST. I’m processing 4 test emails from MAILHOST. I’ve only processed 1 previously in the past. I pasted the YAHOO raw message into the Paste headers (or entire intact email) here: box. Nothing into the second box. This was returned for one of the test emails: Sorry, SpamCop has encountered errors: The email sample you submitted for ______@______.___ appears to traverse more than one domain. Please ensure that you configure each mailhost individually and in order. Proceed here: <https://www.spamcop.net/mcgi?mhc2=vM0OLJg9QtFX9H91> - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Which gives this error: 500 Internal Server Error Sorry, your request could not be processed. Typically, this is the result of a temporary problem. Please re-try the operation which caused this error in a minute or two. You can even leave this error screen open and use your browser's "reload" button to re-try. Please do not press reload repeatedly though. Pressing the button more often does not resolve the problem faster. It just makes a bad situation worse. If you believe this is a bug which occurs only under specific circumstances or have observed the problem frequently, please contact us with a full description of the problem. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Is this a "temporary problem" or something else? gnarlymarley
When forwarding a message from yahoo you need to forward as an attachment or else they do not include the full headers. This is why the suggestion to view the raw headers and copy/paste.
Gort
Found an email about forwarding YAHOO mail as an attachment: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thank you for contacting Yahoo! Customer Care. I understand you want to forward email as an attachment from your Yahoo! Mail account. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you and let me address this for you.Unfortunately the feature or functionality that you're describing is not currently available in the newest version of Yahoo! Mail. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This also has been removed: - Press Shif+Alt+F (simultaneously). - It will automatically compose a new message with the selected e-mail(s) added as an attachment. So just add an e-mail address and send. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The current and updated YAHOO mail versions don't have any of these. So I'm currently stuck with no MAILHOST because I can't forward the test emails as a YAHOO attachment. I can copy and past the RAW MESSAGE, but that doesn't appear to do me any good if I'm not able to send it anywhere. I'm sure this is really basic, but I've missed the point on how to use SPAMCOP correctly.

I'm sure this is really basic, but I've missed the point on how to use SPAMCOP correctly. Mailhosts only report the email server IP your spam comes from, not the IP that sent it to the email server. SpamCop parser does pick it up but won't report it if you have mail servers set-up. To me that's not good enough. without Mailhosts it reports to both IP of sender email server (usually free or compromised) and source (usually Botnet)https://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z6859783047z4175e7c8d2f518fe29bddb8d600862b7zNo unique hostname found for source: 147.78.103.235 Possible forgery. Supposed receiving system not associated with any of your mailhostsWill not trust this Received line. 147.78.103.235 Botnet by SC not recognising or reporting it does not get listed by SCBLhttps://check.spamhaus.org/listed/?searchterm=147.78.103.235 The machine using this IP is infected with malware that is emitting spam, or is sharing a connection with an infected device. Removed all my mailhosts now reporting correctlyhttps://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z6859844014z8709c4d971d7946bee132d9c1fa5de0dz Edited August 27, 2023 by petzl
