Server Problems?

Did anyone else have trouble reporting spam this afternoon? I tried reporting both by email and via the web interface, and was getting messages that seemed to indicate that the parser could not find the spam in my submissions. I tried submitting via email through two different SMTP relays with the same results. Now that I've landed back in the hotel everything is working fine.

Ellen's newsgroup post; [scspamcop] system outage

Folks -- there was a power failure at the colo and ops is onsite

bringing all the servers up. There are many many servers for all the

various IronPort systems, SpamCop being but one of them. So while the

front page is back up all the backend severs are not necesarily there

yet. You will continue to encounter oddball problems until all the

servers - mail, web, app, file, database are back online. Ops is working

as fast as they can and I expect we should see the system back on 100%

operation real soon.

Please give it another hour and *then* if you see errors let us know.

You can find the time this was posted by looking at the headers of this

message.

spamcop/cesmail/cqmail mailservers were not affected by the outage.

And, as DavidT points out, that's the whole purpose of the graphic/link at the top right of these pages .... status of the Parsing/Reporting syetem .. as best as allowed ....
