Wazoo
Facebook wins its first lawsuit against a spammer, and similar lawsuits planned in the future. Popular social networking web site Facebook has won a legal judgment against Adam Guerbuez, a spammer in Canada who has kept a low profile since the lawsuit was filed several months ago. Guerbuez is said to have sent more than 4 million spam messages to Facebook users in March and April, after hijacking Facebook accounts and using bots to then log into the stolen accounts and start sending out the spam. .......... Geek
That was good news, but as they said on CBC, fat chance they'll see a penny.
Devilwolf
Interesting how quickly law enforcement hunted down the cyberterrorist who hacked Palin's yahoo email, but law enforcements seems to be unwilling to do anything about about spammers who do the same thing for profit against honest hardworking tax paying citizens. It really shows how corrupt most of the western governments are getting or how important a voting bloc felons and criminals are becoming.
Wazoo
Interesting how quickly law enforcement hunted down the cyberterrorist who hacked Palin's yahoo email That person was more than a bit ignorant. Bragging about it was one issue, posting a screen capture with an IP Address showing that was easily tracked back to himself was the primary clue/screw-up. As ar as the cyberterrorist and hacking decription goes, it wasn't actually much of a 'hack' .... more "social engineering" with the 'convincing of someone on Yahoo staff' that 'he' eas the actual owner of said account.
