  1. Not a Opera Mail user, but other mail applications will show the raw email by pressing <ctrl> U keys at the same time. 1) In your mail app display the email you are interested in. 2) Press the <ctrl> and the "U" key at the same time. (check your manual. there may be a different way to display only the header.) 3) Another window should open up displaying the raw email. 4) The email header is everything from the beginning of the file displayed down to, and including, the FIRST blank line. 4a) If you need to select the lookout/eudora workaround: Highlight everything down to the first blank line, then cut with <ctrl> C. Go to the header window in the SC screen and use <ctrl> V to past in the header. Return to the normally displayed email, used <ctrl> A, to select all of the decoded email, then <ctrl> C to cut/ the selected text. Return to the SC screen and use <ctrl> V to past the body of the email into the second window. 4b) If in step 2 above, <ctrl> U displays the whole email, header and body (maybe encoded), you can use the all-in-one submission form. Use <ctrl> A to select all of the raw email, header and body. then use <ctrl> C to cut the whole email. Then go to the SC submission screen with one window and use <ctrl> V to past the email into the window. 5. Press the <Process spam> button to submit your spam.
  2. I don't have a problem viewing Petzl's screen shots. I believe your browser or a firewall or bandwidth issues are keeping you from see the images. Because of the way this bulletin board is structured (for security) it is necessary for Petzl to upload the screen shots onto the web so he can then include a URL to the image. He is using a free service "ImgBB" (the logo at the top of the page) to get the images onto the web. The "blurry graphic in the middle" tells me that you are having a bandwidth problem and the graphic is only partially loading before losing connection or being blocked. Have you tried clicking the refresh button on your browser? The images Petzl provided in his post are to illustrate what you should see step-by-step following his instructions. Not to click on to follow a link. First we/you need to resolve the bandwidth/firewall problem so you can see what Petzl has provided.
  3. @ArtmakersWorldsI think the instructions provided by @petzlare complete. If you have any trouble please post and he will be glad to help more (I am sure). You are not the first person wanting to use SC that has had problems. The system was originally setup 20(?) plus years ago targeting the more technical inclined. The system is a tool. Like may tools when it works it works well. When things go wrong... Like a car hundred of people use them several times a day with no problem. But sometimes things break for the novice and the expert. Try to keep in mind when you submit a spam, written by some one trying to hide who or where they are, a software program tries to use just the information in the email to figure out who sent the spam. The parser is JUST a program trying to unmask spammers who use ever changing "improving" tricks. Sometimes the result is 'Nothing to do' To maintain SpamCop's credibility the program can not guess and accuse the wrong person of being a spammer. So some time spammers slip through. Frustrating. Take a deep breath and the user-to-users here hopefully will help get you through this.
  4. Have you read https://www.spamcop.net/fom-serve/cache/297.html Scroll down to the bottom of the page to "How the SCBL Works"
  5. It is quite possible that your email host @xxxxmail.com has changed their configuration. You should log into your reporting account click on the <Mailhost> tab and update your configuration.
  6. Yes, I have been receiving some similar email. Also some text to my phone. After pasting email into the spamcop form scroll down to where the body should be and add a line like "This text line added" NOTE: Be sure to include a blank line between the end of the header (Bcc: x) and your added line to mark the end of the header. Yes, "this line is a blank line" is like the "this page intentionally blank". What can I do?
  7. The <Report spam> was not working before but seems to be back now.
  8. Over the years my level of spam received cycles up and down. But I guess mileages may vary.
  9. Spammer Rules, #2, Crissman's Corollary: A spammer, when caught, blames his victims.
  10. There may be several issues. Do you have a dedicated domain from Godaddy? looking at https://www.spamcop.net/w3m?action=map;mask=65535;net=2915631104;sort=ipsort (scroll down to your IP) it looks like your IP is "not in a good neighborhood." If the domain used by your email server is rotated between other Godaddy client, you could be blocked because they are spamming and getting the IP listed. Another place to look is https://talosintelligence.com/reputation_center/lookup?search=173.201.193.237 Right now when I looked you are not listed. Finger pointing is a common way to say 'not me.' However, in a way they are both right. BUT to be clear it is the recipient's email system that is blocking your incoming email. They may be blocking your email because the IP address used by your email server is getting listed on block list - and that could be because of the actions of others (see above). Looks to me like Godaddy.com LLc is the owner. If Godaddy can give you a dedicated IP address for you email server then
  11. Frustrating! Have you read SpamCop FAQ ? Scroll down to SCBL Rules.
  12. If you have contacted the deputies again, to avoid confusion, I will step back.
  13. I don't know, nor do I have access to logs, etc. However, looking at some of the reports I see the parser "thinks" maybe:
  14. Just to be sure, change your reporting account password to something totally random and strong.
  15. Glad you resolved your password problem. Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. Welcome back to the fight.
  16. I have no experience with Cox, but have you talked to them about reporting spam? At one time after talking to my ISP and they said "NO WAY in hell!!" magically things changed. Worth a try.
  17. When you send the email to the bank, or others, their security/IT folks can use the header information, all the <ctrl>-U info. You problem having reports blocked by your ISP is not uncommon. I am always amused that they block it on the way out, but don't flag it on the way in.
  18. Of course it is hoped that responsible members of the cyber community will take positive (aggressive) action to deal with their clients that spam. As you have noted not all ISPs, large or small, act responsibly. Even when action is not taken as a result of SpamCop spam reports, reports do feed into the SpamCop Block List. The SCBL is used by many ISP to help filter incoming email for their clients. Listing on SCBL and/or other block list affects the reputation of the spammer's email provider which is also used be some to manage incoming email. The legal status of spamming and how diligently laws are enforced is a local matter and vary from place to pace.
  19. Thanks @RobiBueReally not that cold. Temps in the low 20°s but a 10 m/h wind has blown all day with gust 25-30 m/h. Un-drifted snow is about 36" total. AND winter has just started. The best to you and your's in the year to come. Translation: 20°F - -7°C, 10 m/h - 16 km/h, 25-30 m/h - 40-48km/h, 36" - 91cm (Americans are so egocentric!)
  20. Yes being on the ragged end of the internet strikes again. "We had a cascading server failure..."
  21. have you logged into your spamcop reporting account and looked at pending reports or past reports?
  22. If you follow the link above you will see: Following that link reveals: A careful reading tells me that your mailing list includes a secret spam trap(s) email address that you have sent spam to. If I were you I would take the next 7 hours a thank about your business model and start scrubbing the mailing list to avoid future problems.
