Geek
Hi, That part of the site has been off and on for a long time and now has been down for a couple of days. Is it gone for good? I was curious as to the graphs, as my spam has gone up 500% in the last 7 days and was wondering if everyone else's has too Cheers!
Farelf
...I was curious as to the graphs, as my spam has gone up 500% in the last 7 days and was wondering if everyone else's has too Nope - normal fluctuation, probably a little higher than usual at the beginning of last weekend, lower than usual during the rest of the week until now. Commentators are saying volumes for the internet as a whole are generally ramping up from the lows when the last botnet got taken down, but not spectacularly so. I only see spikes like yours with misdirected bounces (but then they're much worse than 500% and a lot shorter duration than a week).
Wazoo
That part of the site has been off and on for a long time and now has been down for a couple of days. Is it gone for good? I certainly hope not. The last outage was caused by a power issue on that specific server. I haven't received a reply on what's going on this time. Geek
Hi Guys, Nope - normal fluctuation, probably a little higher than usual at the beginning of last weekend, lower than usual during the rest of the week until now. Commentators are saying volumes for the internet as a whole are generally ramping up from the lows when the last botnet got taken down, but not spectacularly so. I only see spikes like yours with misdirected bounces (but then they're much worse than 500% and a lot shorter duration than a week). Ok, thanks! It's the same-ol'-same-ol' stuff, just all from new places and new ISP's I never heard from before. Must be newly infected machines. That added onto the same-ol'-same-ol' bad ISP's equalled the jump. I certainly hope not. The last outage was caused by a power issue on that specific server. I haven't received a reply on what's going on this time. Thanks for checking into it Wazoo Cheers! Wazoo
Thanks for checking into it Wazoo Recall .. this was my solution to answer the question of Is SpamCop down? that used to cause floods in the newsgroups, then additionally the Forum when it appeared. When spamcop.net went down, one also lost access to the 'status' pages on spamcop.net. This graphic/link offered offsite access to that data, such that 'status' could still be seen when spamcop.net itself was unavailable.

Code and graphics moved to a new server, file type changed to ".PNG" .... Forum updated, Deputies advised about the need to update the http://www.spamcop.net/spamstats.shtml page. saturated
It is good the statistics page is back. Unfortunately, the "monthly" graph is showing "todays" data, and the "yearly" graph is showing the "monthly" data.
Miss Betsy
You might want to look at this new topic in the SpamCop Lounge and see if it solves the problem. Miss Betsy

A.J.Mechelynck
For any people interested, I'm releasing to public domain an HTML page displaying all 4 graphs in a format which looks nice in my browser (at 1024x768, minus the browser's menus and toolbars): it's at http://users.skynet.be/antoine.mechelynck/other/spamstat.htm To view one particular graph full-size, just use "View Image" after right-clicking it. If your definition is better than mine, you may want to save the source of that page somewhere on your HD and change the "height" attribute in the <img> tags; or if you have a "wide" screen, you may want to display all 4 pictures side-by-side rather than in a 2x2 tabular format. have fun!
