Darq
Hi, I'm new to Spamcomp... I use Yahoo.I searched the forum with no luck,so many pages!I was finally able to reveal the complete header on some of the spam. The response from spamcop stated"No body text provided, check format of submission. spam must have body text" What does it mean, and how do I check format of submission? Thanks. turetzsr
Hi, I'm new to Spamcomp... <snip> Hi, Darq, Welcome! ...Are you submitting your spam via e-mail or via the web form? If the web form, are you using the "all-in-one submission form" (only one text entry box above the "Process spam" button) or the "outlook/eudora workaround form" (two text entry boxes above the "Process spam" button)? If the "all-in-one submission form," you must separate the headers from the spam body with a single blank line and there must not be any blank lines within the headers; if the latter, you must enter the headers in the top text box and the spam body in the lower text box. I searched the forum with no luck,...You could also have used the "Search for -->" form at the top of the Forum page. <g>
SpamCopAdmin
You might try using the "Classic Yahoo" interface and holding down the "CTRL" key while you click the "Forward" button to send a spam to us. I understand that process will send us the full headers and text in the proper format. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - service[at]admin.spamcop.net

Darq
Thanks for the replies, I'm still trying with no success. I don't have a lot of time to sit here and figure out what exactly needs to be done. With not understanding all the jargon and becoming frustrated with the whole prospect. Anyway I'll keep at it. And again, thanks very much for the input.
turetzsr
Hi, Darq, <snip> I don't have a lot of time to sit here and figure out what exactly needs to be done. <snip> Anyway I'll keep at it. <snip> ...Well, I must admit to being seriously confused by these two apparently contradictory statements! If you don't have the time, by all means stop trying and spend your time on more useful pursuits. We appreciate very much your having tried but we don't expect you to spend hours and hours in vain frustration!

fragile
Hello, I am brand new to the forum but have been using spamcop for geez 10 years or more. Anyway I was fooling around with trying to forward the spam from my yahoo account to my spamcop reporting address. I am using the new yahoo mail interface. Also I'm using firefox though I doubt that makes a difference. I seemed to have gotten yahoo to forward my spam as an attachment, as it processed successfully through spamcop and I submitted it. I hit upon the key sequence of Shift-Alt-F, it put the spam email right above where the email body would normally be, with a little 'x' next to it. Sorry if I'm repeating something that everyone knows already. thanks

I hit upon the key sequence of Shift-Alt-F, it put the spam email right above where the email body would normally be, with a little 'x' next to it. ... Absolutely brilliant fragile, THANKS! Just to paraphrase, in the "new" Yahoo select spam in Yahoo Inbox (without opening) Shift-Alt-F to bring up forwarding screen enter To: SC submit address send go to member page to complete submission (or await SC confirmation mail and follow link) Yes, yes, it works! priruss
Just FYI, as of today (10/8), shift alt F no longer works in Yahoo! for forwarding spam. It now opens the File pulldown at the top of the screen instead. Haven't found the "new" sequence that will let you do it yet, but will update this if I do. Absolutely brilliant fragile, THANKS! goofy173
See my post in http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=13574 as to how to do it now. Not as easy but fairly simple.
