Retrieving mail in OE question

Recommended Posts

For years now I've set my OE pop settings to retrieve filtered mail from the server "pop.spamcop.net" and it works fine. I was just glossing through the SC FAQ's and noticed that it is now (probably always has been) "mail.spamcop.net".

Am I going to have to change it or does it matter?

Today, as you can see, both names point to the same IP / server. Things will woek just fine until JT makes a change for some reason. I'd suggest changing to "mail" .. making sure that it does still work of course ...

Thanks for the info. Better to be safe than sorry.

http://mail.spamcop.net/members.php#setup still shows "mail" ... I'd sent out an earlier e-mail with several FAQ issues this (yesterday) morning .. as this is JT's, do I/you/somebody need to give a holler to update the page then?  Feeling a bit guilty as the last two I sent that way could be bears to mess with.

I, for one, have no problems with it. ;)
