Change SpamCop Password

Recommended Posts

As you posted this in the E-Mail Forum, let's assume you've a paid account. I'll guess that you are saying that you've been to http://www.spamcop.net/denied.shtml but did you read the rest of that page? For instance;

Flat-Rate Email Users:You cannot reset your password here. Refer to the main menu for email users: http://mail.spamcop.net/members.php

or for the other tpe of accounts;

If you still cannot access your account, email service at admin.spamcop.net for assistance. Please provide some proof that the account you want access to belongs to you.

Yes I am a member (this is the email forum), the help system interface isn't very good, there should be a place that tells how to change the password, but there really isn't. I did read the page and it did note that I can't change the password there, but it doesn't say where it can be done! The members page: http://mail.spamcop.net/members.php they refer to doesn't tell you how to change it. It does indicate that webmail allows you to change your options, but it's not apparent where to change the password. Again, you can reset your password so you can login, but then can't change it from any instructions. Where can this be done?

OK, I don't use the e-mail side, so I can't steer you to the method needed, but will agree, I didn't see it directly listed either ... though one of the first steps was "try to logon to see if it works" .. wondering if you screw up there, does it take you to something a bit more definitive ..??

So, in lieu of adding to the confusion, I'll suggest you hit the main man himself for a direct answer ... drop a note to support at spamcop.net .... if he points you to a link, please post it so others will know, perhaps getting it into a FAQ ...

You can change your SpamCop Mail System (users of mailsc.spamcop.net and webmail.spamcop.net) password by logging into webmail and selecting "Options / Mail Management / SpamCop Options / SpamCop Tools / Select your email forwarding, change your password or mail reports" (or browsing to https://webmail.spamcop.net/horde/imp/spamc...preferences.php or http://webmail.spamcop.net/horde/imp/spamc...references.php) and filling in the details in the "Change your password" section.

Paid SpamCop Parsing and Reporting System Customers/Members (users of members.spamcop.net) should refer to SpamCop FAQ: I forgot my password. How do I reset it?.

Free SpamCop Parsing and Reporting System Reporters (users of www.spamcop.net) don't have passwords.
