Ex_Brit
How do I blacklist this? Today I got a very brief email apparently from me to me. I opened it and reported it manually at SC as below. yesterday I got a similar one from my SC email address to my SC email address, the spam was from the same source. (Reports regarding this spam have already been sent: Re: 211.23.67.170 (Administrator of network where email originates) Reportid: 1783283466 To: spam[at]ms1.hinet.net Reportid: 1783283490 To: spamcop[at]imaphost.com) Return-Path: <x> Delivered-To: x Received: (qmail 6821 invoked from network); 7 Jun 2006 06:59:03 -0000 X-spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.1.1 (2006-03-10) on blade4 X-spam-Level: ** X-spam-Status: hits=3.0 tests=HTML_MESSAGE,HTML_SHORT_LENGTH,MIME_HTML_ONLY, MSGID_SPAM_LETTERS version=3.1.1 Received: from unknown (192.168.1.103) by blade4.cesmail.net with QMQP; 7 Jun 2006 06:59:03 -0000 Received: from mta102.rog.mail.scd.yahoo.com (66.94.225.162) by mx53.cesmail.net with SMTP; 7 Jun 2006 06:59:03 -0000 X-Yahoo-Forwarded: from x to r2d2[at]cesmail.net X-Rocket-spam: 211.23.67.170 X-YahooFilteredBulk: 211.23.67.170 X-Originating-IP: [211.23.67.170] Authentication-Results: mta102.rog.mail.scd.yahoo.com from=rogers.com; domainkeys=neutral (no sig) Received: from 211.23.67.170 (HELO MT-118-1.org) (211.23.67.170) by mta102.rog.mail.scd.yahoo.com with SMTP; Tue, 06 Jun 2006 23:59:02 -0700 Date: Wed, 07 Jun 2006 14:58:25 +0800 To: "Ex-brit" <x> From: "Ex-brit" <ex-brit[at]rogers.com> Subject: 557 Message-ID: <yrgr___________yyha[at]rogers.com> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-SpamCop-Checked: X-SpamCop-Disposition: Blocked SpamAssassin=2 X-SpamCop-Whitelisted: x Tracking URL= http://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z965863005z24...ffa744b7b761dbz
agsteele
Do you mean blacklist within the SpamCop Email service? I'm not sure I can see a clear option for a manual blacklist. As far as the Reporting Service is concerned (the forum you've posted in) you would submit the report in the normal way. There seems to be a spate of this format of spam item doing the rounds at present. Andrew

StevenUnderwood
X-SpamCop-Whitelisted: x It might not get into your Inbox if you removed your own address from your whitelist. How often do you email yourself?

btech
This was a spam fad last year and I think the year before. I received a TON of these messages and had to remove my email address from my 'whitelist' (unlike some people, I do send things to myself often). I believe the spammers were using a prog that makes the "FROM" identical to the recipient of the message.
