webmail.spamcop.net filters: invisible filter? help

Recommended Posts

I've got a dozen filters and they work as advertised. I must have an additional filter that I can't see in my filter list, because it works, I can see the announcement when it deletes mail, but this filter is not visible in my filter list.

Are the filters stored locally on my machine? In cookies, perhaps?

Is it possible for a filter to be missing from the list of filters?

Help, please

No idea what you migt be talking / asking about.

If this had been posted into the SpamCop E-mail System & Accounts Forum section, one could think that you are asking about the filter selections there, but .... they are quite visible via a checklist and a "lst of rules" ...

The "announcement when it deletes mail" leaves me somewhat confused trying to relate that to a 'filter' ...

Is any / all of this dealing with your SpamCop.net e-mail account configuration / settings?

.... If so, a Moderator will come along and move this to the appropriate Forum section.

.... If not, please explain just whay filters you are talking about ....

Presumably you're talking about the webmail application for your SC email account? In which case we might move this to the email forum where it could be more likely to be reviewed by another webmail user with some answers to offer. You do know we're just other users here don't you? We have no special insights into your account details, the applications you use (unless you tell us about them) or the announcements you might be seeing.

I am going on the assumption you are using SpamCop's webmail application when you see the announcement. You should check Options, Maintenance Operations where the automatic cleaning of the Trash folder settings are held. I think it was once determined that you can not keep mail in the Trash folder indefinetly as there may ne a system process to delete anything older that a certain time (30 days?) but that is just from my rusty memory and may be incorrect.

Filters are not stored on your machine but in your account settings o the server.

Way to go, I guess .. drop your initial post into another Forum .. allow a number of folks to reply, all asking if in fact your are talking about a SpamCop.net e-mail account and if these are the filters involved .. providing even more questions, answers, suggestions, pointers, etc. .... and you decide to simply make repeat of your original Topic Starting post into another Forum section .... making no response to any of that preceding traffic .... and obvioulsy still have not taken the time to actually "look for an answer" .....

Asking for help is one thng. That's what this thing is for.

Blowing off those that attempt to provide that help is another issue entirely, one that I rarely allow to continue.

And even the possibilty of a language issue is bit disuaded by noting sw.biz.rr.com as the posting address.

For the reminder you apparently need, folks are waiting for your reply/answers at your original Topic seen at http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=8325 .... as you will note, the volunteer folks that try to assist don't wait three or four days to get around to offering anything, as seen on so many other support Forums ....

NOTE: due to Moderator action, the pointed to link above is now brokem as the post involved has been moved/merged into this Topic, so the pointer would now be http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?...ost&p=56741 .. pointing to the post immediately above this one ....

Admin,

I posted in the wrong forum, apparently and was told to post in the Email Support forum. I took that advice and posted in the Email forum. As a long-time, paying customer of Spamcop.net, I try to do the right thing.

Apparently, that wasn't up to your standards. So, you've decided to flame me. No problem. Here's hoping the dollars I spend on SpamCop.net don't contribute to your income, and that you're never appointed to be the ambassador of anything.

Now, do you have a solution to my problem? If not, bloody shove off.

By the way, up there at the top it says "The primary mode of support here is peer-to-peer, meaning users helping other users." You're very far from helpful.

Admin,

I posted in the wrong forum, apparently and was told to post in the Email Support forum. I took that advice and posted in the Email forum. As a long-time, paying customer of Spamcop.net, I try to do the right thing.

As stated, there was a question as to whether or not your initial post actually dealt with a SpamCop.net e-mail account. It was stated that if it did, one of the Moderators wouls handle "moving" of the Topic. As seen today, one of the moderators 'did' move/merge your initial and now addittedly wrongly placed initial topic. Yet, your replies are still missing. I find it odd that you could take the time to raise your objections to my words, yet still pay no attention to the words offered by so many other folks, also 'trying to help you' .....

Apparently, that wasn't up to your standards. So, you've decided to flame me.

flame you? I said nothing about you, did no name-calling .. in fact, my actual thoughts never made it close to the keyboard, much less this displayed page. The only thing posted here is "the obvious" .. along with some addition pointers that you have not responded to, nore have any replies baan made to anyone trying to offer assistance to this initial post, including myself.

No problem. Here's hoping the dollars I spend on SpamCop.net don't contribute to your income, and that you're never appointed to be the ambassador of anything.

You want flamed .... ok, you ignorant twit! Once again, the FAQs have been in place long before your outrageously stupid ramblings .... (feel better now?) .. try Section 8 - SpamCop's System & Active Staff User Guide to learn about just what I do with the millions of U.S. $$$$ that I earn by making sure that this forum and all the other tools I've put into place here keep working.

Now, do you have a solution to my problem? If not, bloody shove off.

How about reading and replying to all that has transpired already in the process of 'trying to help you'??????

If you can't do that, then it's you that needs to go elsewhere ....

In fact, one more post like this one, and I will take care of the situation .. that's what Admin's do ....

By the way, up there at the top it says "The primary mode of support here is peer-to-peer, meaning users helping other users." You're very far from helpful.

And in yet another attempt to make you feel better, I find you to be unbelievsably close to the definition of an idiot.

Now you can state that you have been flamed and not feel guilty about lying ....

if you want some help, then help us help you .... read the responses provided, provide the additionsal data requested, ask for any further specific information actually needed .... explain why your circumstances don't seem to match anyone else's .....
